Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital has been an active participant in the health of Dixon and the surrounding communities for more than 100 years. From the day KSB's doors opened on January 1, 1897, the mission of the hospital has been to provide skilled, compassionate healthcare in a facility equipped with the latest technology. All these years later, that mission is unchanged.

KSB Hospital remains committed to the communities we serve. That commitment can be seen in KSB's growth. In recent years, the hospital has expanded beyond the walls of the hospital to provide physician care in facilities in Commerce Towers, Edwards Clinic and Town Square Centre in Dixon. The hospital has also built clinic facilities in Oregon, Polo, Amboy and Ashton to improve the healthcare access for the people in those communities.

Physician staffing at these facilities is provided by the KSB Medical Group, a sixty-member multi-specialty practice that is operated by the hospital.

Within the hospital there has been growth as well. New and updated facilities can be found throughout the halls at KSB. Most recently, KSB has invested millions in the latest diagnostic radiology equipment to give doctors state-of-the art tools to allow them to help patients more quickly and effectively. A new cardiovascular catheterization laboratory, as well as improved and expanded lab facilities, an expanded and relocated gift shop and chapel mark some of the recent improvements at KSB.

Construction is currently underway on a two-story addition that will expand the hospital's Emergency Department, as well as, consolidate outpatient surgery services in one area of the hospital.

Beyond those physical improvements, the individuals who work at KSB are among the finest healthcare providers anywhere.
